As an avid reader, one of my biggest expenses are books. To which I absolutely do not mind. Reading books are my love and therefore, like many bookworms, I am willing ignore the total at checkout for that adventure into another realm. However, I will not pass up a good deal when I see one. Black Friday is the perfect time to grab your physical and digital TBR list of books. Whether you are looking to gift or read yourself, see where to find the best deals and are some our top recommended book deals this Black Friday, November 24, 2023.

Amazon is always a great place to start when it comes to deals on books as one of the largest book retailers.

Our Top Book Recommended Deals for Black Friday
Iron Flame is 50% off on Amazon & W&H Smith for Black Friday for the hardcover versions, a steal of £11 and one of the most anticipated releases of this year by the book-stagram and book-tok community. This is an amazing deal for a just released this month book. While the paperback is very slighter cheaper at Amazon, at this discount for a hardback cover, I'd say go for the hardcover. If you haven't read the first book, Fourth Wing, it's also on sale for a £10 for the hardcover at Amazon. House of Flame & Shadow is 14% hardcover pre-order, which is slated to release Jan 30, 2024 and is one of the highly anticipated fantasy releases for next year which is the third book in the Crescent City series. Nothing is wrong with giving yourself a late present. The second book, House of Sky & Breath is currently 26% off on the hardcover. Sadly the first book, House of Earth & Blood is not on sale but the paperback is a few pennies off. Fall of Wrath & Ruin, a newer series is 15% off at Waterstones & Amazon for the hardcover version but no sale on the paperbacks. Amazon's Throne of Glass Paperback Box Set - 26% off, released in June 2023, which the complete set of books from the Throne of Glass Series, including the Novella, "The Assassin's Blade".
A Court of Thorn and Roses Paperback Box Set- 26% off, starting at £37.20 and the ACOTAR hardcover version at 19% off. If you have not read this Fae fantasy series as yet, I would highly recommend it, and wish you a happy adventuring in Velaris. It's also a great set to gift a book reader for Christmas.
Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes - 44% off at £5 for the paperback version and 26% off the hardback version. If you are like me and possibly looking to read the book before you watch the movie release, this is a good deal. It's also number 4 this week on Amazon book charts. If you haven't read any of the books in the series, I'd recommend picking up the complete box set if you wanted to also read the Hunger Games.
Fall of Wrath & Ruin, a newer series is 15% off at Waterstones & Amazon for the hardcover version but no sale on the paperbacks.
Belladonna is a gothic fantasy romance currently 20% off its paperback version with a bit of mystery. The sequel Foxglove is 12% off its hardcover version and is on our TBR list to read this winter.
Black Cake is 90% off list price for Black Friday and if you plan on reading before watching the TV Adaption, its a great Caribbean Historical Fiction read.
Other recommends include Our Violent Ends at 26% off and The Goal:4 at 22% off.
Most of these book deals are paperback & hardback versions, but that goes without saying, if you prefer e-books, most if not all should also be on kindle. Some of these recommendations are also on Audible.
Where to find the Best E-Reader Deals
Amazon Paperwhite, Scribe & Oasis e-readers are on Black Friday discount for up to 24% off starting at £64.99 for the bookworms who like a reading device limited primarily for reading, journaling and more without the distractions of a typical tablet. These e-readers are easier on the eyes and some have built in back-light now a days that are a bit easier for those till 3 am book reads. Just be careful of hitting yourself in the head while falling asleep.
Looking for more of an multi-purpose e-reader, Amazon has deals for up to 50% off on a select range of their Fire Tablet, starting at £49.99 for Black Friday. It is important to note, however, that if you already have a tablet, you can easily read Kindle books via their Amazon Kindle App which is available on Android and Apple devices. Samsung in particular has Black Friday deals up to 40% off on their tablets at Amazon.
